Mission

Our mission is to offer comprehensive physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual support to elderly individuals of all backgrounds. We strive to create a conducive environment that ensures their welfare, wellbeing, health, happiness, peace, and tranquility. We cater to their basic needs through physical facilities, cultural and recreational programs, nutritious food, healthcare and medical services, and holistic measures. Our vision is to operate in the true spirit of Seva (सेवा), engaging philanthropists, donors, experts, and volunteers. We are committed to continuously improving and updating our care practices to ensure that our residents enjoy their second inning of life in a blissful state of mind and perfect health.

The Beginning

The institution was founded by Late Shree Manbhai Bhatt, a pioneer in social services in Bhavnagar since 1941, who recognized the need for elderly care in a loving and supportive environment. Smt. Gulabben Haribhai Shah Vruddh Niketan was registered as a trust in 1970, supported by government grants. It began in a small dormitory, initially caring for 10 elderly people, and has gradually expanded to accommodate 100 residents.

In 2004, Smt. Vasantlakshmi Nanalal Bhayani Jivan Sandhya Arogya Sushrushaa Dham, a new building equipped with modern amenities, was established through social support. Celebrating its Golden Jubilee in 2020, the institution marked 50 years of noble social activities, continuously serving and caring for the aged.
