Welcome to the Home for Aged and Handicapped (HAH), where our mission is to enhance the quality of life for specially-abled children and adults through comprehensive rehabilitation, education, and skill-based training.
Founded in Nagpur in 1890 by the Bishop of Nagpur, Monsignor Riccaz, HAH initially focused on caring for abandoned lepers and the disabled. The land for our establishment was generously donated by Fatesingrao Raje Bhonsale to the Catholic Mission.
Over the past 133 years, the Salesian Missionaries of Mary Immaculate (SMMI) have continued this legacy, providing a sanctuary and support for elderly destitutes, physically challenged youth, and specially-abled children.
At HAH, our goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment where residents can live with dignity and confidence. Through rehabilitation, education, and vocational training, we equip our residents with the tools needed for fulfilling and independent lives.
Our vision is to empower specially-abled individuals and elderly destitutes, fostering a life of dignity, self-assurance, and tranquility. We strive to create a supportive atmosphere where each individual can reach their full potential and enjoy life to the fullest.

Our primary objective is to enhance the quality of life for specially-abled children, adults, and elderly individuals in need of care and support. By offering rehabilitation, skill training, and medical and social assistance, we empower our beneficiaries to live with dignity and self-confidence. For the elderly who are unable to care for themselves, we provide a homely atmosphere, ensuring they live in peace and comfort.
